The New York Knicks drafted Marquette point guard Tyler Kolek in the second round of this year’s draft, and he could take on a major role in just his first season with the team.
The team just made a blockbuster trade that sends Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns. While Randle is the main player the Knicks are giving up, DiVincenzo played a big role for the team this past season.
He was third in the league in three-pointers made, only behind Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry, and he used that shooting to make a big impact for the Knicks in the playoffs. But now, someone else will need to step up now that he is gone.
