The Seattle Seahawks will be in the national spotlight this Thursday evening when they host the San Francisco 49ers.
The Seahawks jumped out to a 3-0 record this season before dropping back-to-back games to the Detroit Lions and New York Giants. Their defense has really struggled of late, which is a bit of surprise considering that’s head coach Mike Macdonald’s area of expertise. In Week 4, his defense gave up a whopping 42 points to Jared Goff and the Lions. Although that unit didn’t surrender as many points to the G-Men, they did allow them to gain 420 total yards.
If the Seahawks are going to defeat the 49ers this Thursday, they’ll need their defense to step up. That side of the ball will be a bit shorthanded. Star cornerback Riq Woolen, outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and defensive tackle Byron Murphy II have all been ruled out for Week 6.
The only good news for Seattle is that it’ll receive plenty of support from its fan base. It also doesn’t hurt that the Seahawks Dancers will be pumping up the crowd.
Drew, one of the dancers for the Seahawks, has become quite popular this season. She still has some work to go before she’s considered a top-tier Instagram influencer, but fans have been appreciating her weekly content.
Although she’s only in her second year with the Seahawks, she has already experienced some memorable moments.
“My favorite Seahawks memory was the tunnel at this past seasons Thanksgiving game,” she said. “Being under the stadium lights at my first prime-time game was truly an indescribable feeling.”
Well, Drew will be under the stadium lights later tonight when the Seahawks and 49ers take the field.
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET. This NFC West matchup will be exclusively on Prime Video.
