Cooper Rush’s wife said Sunday’s Cowboys vs. Commanders game was the craziest football game she’s ever attended. We very much believe that.
The Cowboys topped the Commanders, 34-26, at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland on Sunday. Dallas held off a furious rally from Washington late in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys, who had two missed field goals and a blocked punt, had a special teams miscue go their way late, when Austin Seibert missed a game-tying extra point after an 86-yard touchdown pass from Jayden Daniels to Terry McLaurin.
Dallas improved to 4-7 on the season with the win, heading into Thursday’s game against the New York Giants. The Cowboys could even play themselves back into playoff contention, based on their schedule, too.
“I’m not done yet. I don’t plan on tanking. If the higher-ups are looking for a draft pick, I hope that’s ruined, because we got a lot of football left to play. As long as I’m a part of this team, we’re always going to fight,” Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons said in the locker room on Sunday afternoon.
Cooper Rush, starting in place of the injured Dak Prescott, who’s out for the year with a torn hamstring, had the best game of his season. He threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns, completing 24 of 32 passes.
Lauryn Rush, the wife of the Dallas Cowboys now-starting quarterback, turned heads with her outfit on the field on Sunday afternoon.
Lauryn Rush took to Instagram shortly following the crazy win on Sunday afternoon.
“Honestly that was the wildest game I’ve ever seen….. No creative caption. Just a yeehaw 💙🏈🤠,” she said.
NFL fans loved her outfit, too.
“I called it. The fur would bring good luck 💙🔥,” one fan wrote.
“Your husband played a heck of a game! Go cowboys and you look adorable!!!” one fan added.
“👏loving it Rush has done awesome so proud of him 💙🤍🩶,” one fan added.
“Love the jacket. You look cute,” one fan added.
Rush agreed with his wife, speaking to reporters after the game about how insane it was.
“Pretty insane. … It was crazy,” Rush said of the wild finish on Sunday. “I think both sides of the ball and special teams picked each other up all day.”
The Cowboys will look to keep the momentum going, heading into Thursday afternoon’s matchup against the Giants.
Kickoff between Dallas and New York is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. E.T. on Thursday. The game will air on FOX.
