Derrick Henry may be considered the King right now but he loves to see his fellow RB’s shine.
After watching Eagles running back Saquon Barkley go off for a franchise-record 255 yards against the Los Angeles Rams on “Sunday Night Football,” the All-Pro took to social media to shoutout the former Giants star.
“GO CRAZY GANGSTA !!” Henry posted with a series of emojis.
Fans loved his reaction to Saquon’s big night:
“DOG GIVING DOG COMPLIMENT [salute],” a user replied.
“He coming for that rushing title,” another warned.
“Greatness respecting greatness,” a fan pointed out.
“Having watched Saquon since his Penn State days, seeing him absolutely take over games like this in an Eagles uniform just hits different – man’s out here running like he never left PA,” a Nittany Lions fan commented.
“Sorry King, but Saquon is the best RB and MVP frontrunner this year.”
“Saquon vs. Henry next week. Whew, man,” another person said.
The Eagles travel to M&T Bank Stadium in Week 13 for one of the best running back matchups we’ll see all year in the NFL.
After leaving the teams that drafted them, Henry and Barkley are both making huge impacts for their respective new franchises. Both RBs have already broken the 1,000-yard mark with six games to go and each have scored double-digit touchdowns.
If they can keep this up they should both find themselves in MVP talks by the time the season is over.
