Watch: Former FSU star returns fumble for touchdown in NFL playoffs

Former Florida State Seminole Jared Verse has had a sensational rookie season for the Los Angeles Rams and it got even better on Monday night.

With the Rams leading the Minnesota Vikings 10-3 late in the second quarter, he scooped up a fumble from Sam Darnold and returned it 57 yards for a touchdown, giving them a 17-3 lead with 4:35 left to play in the first half. They entered halftime ahead 24-3 thanks to a dominant performance from the defensive line.

It was the biggest play of the game and he capped it off with a flip into the endzone. It is the third fumble Verse has recovered this year and the first touchdown of his professional career.

Verse finished the first half with one tackle and one pressure to go with his scoop-and-score. He will look to cause some more chaos in the second half as the Rams look to clinch their spot in the divisional round of the playoffs.
