Celtics React to Jayson Tatum Making NBA History
The Boston Celtics faced off against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night in a rematch of the 2024 NBA Finals. It was the first time the two teams had met since then, and the Celtics were looking to pick up a win to close out their four-game road trip.
Dallas took a 29-25 lead to close the first quarter, but Boston dominated in the two middle frames. In the combined second and third quarters, the Celtics outscored the Mavericks 71-47. Kyrie Irving led the way for Dallas with 22 points, and they also got a boost off the bench with 20 points from Quentin Grimes. However, the deficit was too much for the home team to overcome, and Boston secured a 122-107 win.
