A new forward joins the Montreal Canadiens organization, and a new coach might also be on the way.
First, let’s mention that the Trois-Rivières Lions, the ECHL affiliate team of the Canadiens, have just announced the signing of forward Anthony Beauchamp.
See the official announcement.
Beauchamp, 25, is a right-winger from Thurso, Quebec, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 205 pounds.
He played with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, and the Gatineau Olympiques in the QMJHL, where he recorded 28 points in 65 games during the 2017-2018 season.
He also amassed 42 points in 27 games with the Gatineau Flames.
Since the beginning of his professional career, Anthony Beauchamp has collected 13 points in 41 games (76 penalty minutes), 31 points in 67 games (37 penalty minutes), and 31 points in 72 games (75 penalty minutes) over three seasons in the ECHL with Greenville.
Welcome to Anthony, within the great Montreal Canadiens organization, and we look forward to seeing him next September at training camp.
He will add toughness to the roster.
But that’s not all.
Speaking of the action currently taking place in the lower levels of the Montreal Canadiens organization, let’s recall that Marco Normandin has just revealed that it’s down to two names, one of whom you know well, for the position of head coach of the Laval Rocket.
