The Minnesota Timberwolves closed out the series against the Nuggets with a 98-90 win at Ball Arena on Sunday. After a monstrous second-half comeback, the Timberwolves did the unthinkable and the internet went berserk.
The Lakers legend, Magic Johnson was one of those celebrating the win and given his social media presence, it was no surprise to see him posting celebratory messages to the Minnesota franchise. He wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Congratulations to the Minnesota Timberwolves, their superstar Anthony Edwards, and my friend and Timberwolves co-owner Alex Rodriguez for advancing to the Western Conference Finals!”
A-Rod was present at Ball Arena to witness the final game of the series and after the win, he posted his celebration handshake with Anthony Edwards.
The former Yankees player acquired the Timberwolves in 2021 and since then, has been seen attending multiple games.
