This season, Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic have developed a fierce rivalry. There has been intense hatred between the two since the big man for the Golden State Warriors swung and hit the center of the Phoenix Suns in the face back in December.
According to Green, this animosity isn’t going away anytime soon, especially after he called Nurkic the NBA’s worst hater in an interview with Shaquille O’Neal for his podcast, The Big Podcast.
“Biggest hater inside the NBA is [Jusuf] Nurkic. Hater. ‘Oh he need help,’ ‘That brother still need help.’ Like no, you need help. Big softie,” Draymond Green said at 45:50. “How are you going to tweet at us ‘That’s all folks!’ and you’ve got the worst playoff record in NBA history,”
This season, Draymond Green was embroiled in several scandals that garnered harsh criticism from supporters and teammates. Without him on the court, the Warriors were a different club, which may have damaged their prospects of qualifying for this year’s postseason.
A few weeks ago, Nurkic sent Green a message stating that the former DPOY still needed assistance. Although neither team is currently in the postseason, it was evident that these two will continue to communicate both on and off the court.
