Nelly Korda recently shared her 2024 Paris Olympics experience on Instagram. Reflecting on her underwhelming performance, she promised to continue working hard.
Last week, Nelly Korda entered the Paris Olympics as the defending gold medalist. However, she was unable to defend her title after shooting 1-under par over four rounds. She tied for 22nd, finishing nine strokes behind the winner, Lydia Ko.
On Tuesday, August 13, Korda shared a few photographs on Instagram and wrote a note about her experience at the 2024 Olympics.
“Such an honor to represent my country and be a 2 time Olympian,” she wrote. “The crowds were unbelievable and so was the experience. THANK YOU! Golf hasn’t been the easiest recently but I still get to live out my dream everyday and for that I am beyond grateful. We will continue working hard”
Earlier on Sunday, August 11, New Zealand’s Lydia Ko shot 1-under 71 in the final round of the Olympics to beat Esther Henseleit of Germany by two strokes. Xiyu Lin of China finished third at 7-under.
