Clemson right tackle rated one of the best returning linemen for 2025

Blake Miller has started every game for the Tigers since 2022 and is one of the best returning linemen in America according to Pro Football Focus.

The foundation of every good football team is the offensive line. Fortunately, that’s where the Clemson Tigers have one of America’s best tackles.

In fact, according to Pro Football Focus, Clemson right tackle Blake Miller is one of the ten best returning offensive linemen in the country. In a recent article listing the top ten returning offensive tackles in America for 2025, Miller checks in at No. 7.

“Miller entered last season as our No. 6 tackle in America,” PFF writes, “and stays around that spot a year later. He’s been a true ironman for the Tigers as he’s started every game at right tackle since his true freshman season. His 2,804 snaps since 2022 are the second most of any tackle in America.

“Miller’s 77.3 career run-blocking grade is a top-30 mark of any tackle in America over the last three seasons and he’s coming off a career-best 76.4 pass-blocking grade in 2024 as well. He’s as reliable as they come and should be one of the most decorated offensive linemen in Clemson history when he heads to the NFL.”

In 2024, the Clemson offensive line became a strength under first-year Clemson OL coach Matt Luke. While injuries took a heavy toll on other positions along the line, the right tackle position was a spot of stability thanks to Miller.

Earning first-team All-ACC honors, he started all 14 games and played 944 snaps. He was one of 12 Tigers to start every game a season ago.

That came after he was a third-team All-ACC honoree in 2023 and a freshman All-American in 2022. Certainly, Miller’s arrow has been pointing north since the moment he arrived on campus as a highly touted offensive lineman from Ohio and his development has been almost linear from year to year.

Some thought Miller might try to head to the NFL this offseason after having a standout year. However, in January he announced his intention to return to the Tigers. At that same time, starting left tackle Tristan Leigh also announced that he would return for 2025 giving the Clemson offensive line a huge boost to start the calendar year.

Now, quarterback Cade Klubnik should feel rather secure with two senior offensive tackles protecting him. And with Miller being one of the best tackles in the country, the Clemson offense has a stalwart to build around in the trenches.
