Social media star turned boxer Elle Brooke has admitted that she hopes to see a knockout when YouTuber Jake Paul takes on former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in November
Elle Brooke has said that she hopes Jake Paul knocks out Mike Tyson when the two meet in the squared circle this winter.
Paul, 27, made a name for himself through social media sites like Vine and YouTube before turning his attention to boxing in 2020, beating fellow video maker AnEsonGib via TKO in the very first round on his debut. Arguably now known more for his power and speed in the ring, Paul has gone on to craft an almost flawless 9-1 boxing record – his only loss coming in the form of a shock split-decision to Tommy Fury in February last year.
The ‘Problem Child’ was initially set to take on legend of the game ‘Iron’ Mike in July, but the bout was called off in its build-up when Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up. Now, with Tyson medically cleared to fight, the two will instead meet at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on November 15.
In a similar vein of fashion to Paul, 26-year-old TikTok star Brooke has also been crafting a professional boxing career of her own since her debut win over AJ Bunker in 2022. She is set to take on BKFC star Jenny Savage at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on September 14, but she has been keeping a close eye on the Paul and Tyson fight as a fan of the sport.
And in a recent chat exclusively with Mirror Fighting, Brooke admitted that she hopes Paul is able to knock out former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson when the two finally meet in the squared circle. When asked how Paul gets the win over a far-more experienced opponent, Brooke said: ” By being the younger, fitter person that’s how he gets it done.
“Poor, poor Mike Tyson has already had to pull out once. I just think Jake is younger, fitter and stronger, especially in the heavyweight division. It’s not necessarily about skill but when you have speed because of youth, I think that will come into play. Do I think he’s going to knock him out? Realistically, I’m not sure.

“I hope he does to make a statement because a lot of people are going to be doubting him. But then he’s going to get a lot of stick… ‘You knocked out a 60-year-old, what does that prove?’. So Jake can not win.” A far cry from his heyday, Tyson is currently 58 years old and hasn’t fought competitively since hanging his gloves up in June 2005 – minus a 2020 exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr which was declared a draw after eight rounds.
While Paul has racked up a number of big-name wins in his professional boxing career to date – including victories over former UFC stars in Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Ben Askren – he has repeatedly been slated for fighting older opponents who were arguably past their prime.
Silva was 47 when he lost to Paul via unanimous decision two years ago, while Diaz was no spring chicken at 38. Woodley was also 39 when he was knocked out by Paul in the sixth-round of their 2021 rematch, caught with a hard right hook before spiralling face down towards the canvas.
