‘At Home with the Furys’ Documents Tyson Fury’s Life When the Gloves Come Off
The two-time heavyweight champion and father of six gets personal in a new, 9-part docuseries.
He’s an undefeated heavyweight champion boxer who weighed just 1 pound at birth. The “Gypsy King” multimillionaire who’s descended from a 200-year line of bare-knuckle fighters. A mental health advocate who openly shares his struggles with bipolar disorder. A husband and a father of six. In other words: Tyson Fury’s life would make a great reality series, and luckily, that’s exactly what fans are going to get. Announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Aug. 24, At Home with the Furys is a 9-part documentary series that follows Fury and his family as he attempts to retire, embracing family life with his wife, Paris; father, John (who named Fury after legendary boxer Mike Tyson); his six children, Venezuela, Prince John, Prince Tyson, Prince Adonis, Valencia, and Athena; and his brother Tommy Fury with his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.
The series will give audiences a fly-on-the-wall view of Fury’s life at his mansion in Morecambe, England, and his decision to focus on his family, particularly as the boxer has ebbed in and out of retirement for the last several years. Fury fans will get an inside look at what a legendary boxer’s life looks like when the gloves are off: changing diapers, driving the kids to school, and finding meaning outside of the ring.
Directed by Josh Jacobs and produced by Laura Leigh and Demi Doyle, At Home with the Furys is available on Netflix now.
