According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool may move for Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze next summer, in case Mohamed Salah ends up leaving the club at the end of the season.
Salah recently revealed he was yet to be approached by the Merseyside club for potential talks to start over a new contract, and as things stand at the moment, with his current deal closing in on its expiration date, this might well be his last season at Anfield. Fresh reports, however, suggest the talks are set to start soon.
But if no agreement is reached, Eze could be the man to come in and try to fill the void, at least a part of it.
However, Manchester Evening News claim Manchester United are monitoring the 26-year-old with a view of a potential transfer next summer as well. Unlike Liverpool, who so far have a 100% record in the Premier League, United have won only once and suffered two defeats, the latest one at the hands of none other than Liverpool.
Eze’s contract at Palace does not expire before 2027.
