As first posted by The Secret Scout, West Brom midfielder Jayden Kouossu has left the club to join Newcastle United. He was said to have trials at Chelsea, Fulham, and Newcastle United, but it is Newcastle who have won his signature.
“Never thought this day would come but I announce with a heavy heart after 8 years at the club that I have officially left @wba,” Kouossu said in a post that he shared on Instagram.
“I would like to give a huge thank you to all the coaches and staff for pushing me to my limits year after year and all of the outstanding teammates throughout the years on the pitch.
“But I believe this decision was necessary and the story must continue, thank you baggies.”
Kouossu was born in Milan, but moved to the West Midlands at a young age, and was part of their academy for eight years, where he played for their under-15s team.
According to the NUFC Blog, Kouossu is capable of playing as a number six and a number eight. He was eligible for under-14s football, but played at U15 and U16 level. As he has reportedly shown he is capable of playing at age levels beyond his current age, NUFC Blog adds that he could be fast tracked in to their under-16s team.
