Notre Dame Women’s Basketball ACC Tournament Path Set
Notre Dame knows its path for the 2025 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament after Sunday’s final day of regular season play. The Fighting Irish shared the ACC’s regular season championship with NC State after both teams finished with 16-2 conference records in the regular season.
NC State will be the No. 1 seed in this week’s tournament, which features the top 15 teams in the conference, and the Irish are the No. 2 seed based on the Wolfpack’s head-to-head win over the Irish last week. Duke is the No. 3 seed and Florida State is the No. 4 seed after the Blue Devils beat the Seminoles on Sunday. Those top four seeds all receive double byes and will not play their first game until Friday, March 7. The tournament runs Wednesday, March 5, through Sunday, March 9 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The teams on Notre Dame’s side of the bracket are No. 3 seed Duke, No. 6 Louisville, No. 7 California, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 Stanford, No. 14 Clemson, and No. 15 Pittsburgh.
Virginia and Pitt will play a first-round game on Wednesday at 3:30 PM. The winner of that game faces California at 5:00 PM on Thursday. The winner of that game then plays Notre Dame at 5:00 PM on Friday in the tournament quarterfinals.
If Notre Dame wins its quarterfinal game the Irish would advance to Saturday’s semifinals against either Duke, Stanford, Clemson or Louisville at 2:30 PM. The ACC Championship game is Sunday at 1:00 PM (all times EST).
