Arkansas soccer in search of ‘identity’ after spring exhibition win over John Brown

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas soccer coach Colby Hale has a list of things he wants his Razorbacks to improve on in the spring season.

That was on his mind following Arkansas’ 7-0 exhibition win over John Brown on Friday — featuring a hat trick from Valaina Tu’ua, a brace from Bella Field and goals from Ainsley Erzen and Molly Teed.

The Razorbacks’ next match is set for 2 p.m. on April 12 at Oklahoma State. They won their opening exhibition 5-0 against Central Arkansas on March 7.

Hale wasn’t pleased with the press, ball movement, speed of play and other things Friday. The spring schedule is played to find those answers.

Hale’s biggest concern though?

“This team needs an identity,” he said.
