Touted Star Sends Two-Word Message on Surprisingly Reversing Decision on Georgia

A Georgia Bulldogs de-commit made it clear with a social media on April 5 that he is exciting about changing his mind about the Bulldogs.

Four-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman flipped from Georgia to the Miami Hurricanes in his recruiting. With a tweet on Saturday, Wyman delivered a two-word message on the decision.

“I’m home,” wrote Wyman with several exclamation points.

Wyman tweeted the message as a quote tweet to On3’s Hayes Fawcett reporting on the cornerback’s flip from Georgia to Miami.

On Saturday, On3’s Jake Reuse wrote on Saturday the connection Wyman made with Miami defensive backs coach Zac Etheridge was a “clear motivator” to him changing his commitment to the Hurricanes.

“I feel like it’s going to be great being part of the program and being coached by him and some of the other great coaches,” Wyman told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “Coach Zac Etheridge, he’s been recruiting me for a minute. It’s going to be great playing under him.”

There’s quite a bit of irony with Wyman’s two-word tweet because the defensive back is actually from Georgia. Wyman is the No. 22 recruit in the Peach State according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Wyman, who will play his final high school season at Jonesboro High School, is also the No. 17 cornerback and No. 166 overall prospect in the 2026 class based on the same rankings
