Billy Napier Reveals His Favorite SEC Stadiums To Coach In
The Florida Gators are entering Year 4 under head coach Billy Napier and look to take the momentum from their four-game winning streak to end last season into this one.
During Napier’s time in Gainesville, it hasn’t been all rainbows and sunshine. The Gators finished under 500 in both of his first two seasons and even started 4-5 last year, facing calls from the Florida fan base to fire him.
In his three years at the helm, he’s posted a 19-19 record across 38 games. Of those, 26 have come against SEC opponents—so he’s seen his fair share of conference stadiums.
In a recent episode of “Wingin’ It with Wingo,” Napier shared his favorites. He listed Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium (101,915 capacity), Texas A&M’s Kyle Field (102,733 capacity), and LSU’s Tiger Stadium (102,321 capacity).
“I think these venues in this league are tough,” Napier said. “It’s tough to pick one. I mean, I think that Neyland’s impressive. I think A&M’s impressive. I think that, you know, Auburn at night, I think, is pretty salty. I think Tennessee, A&M, LSU’s a lot of fun. I mean, there’s a bunch of them. I think those are the few that pop off the top of my head.”
Since 2022, Napier’s Gators have visited those stadiums a total of four times—twice to Neyland Stadium, once to Kyle Field, and once to Tiger Stadium.
In 2025, they’ll have a chance to flip the script with road games against both LSU (Sep. 13) and Texas A&M (Oct. 11).
