Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine made an appearance at his team’s morning practice.
Laine, who received a huge ovation from fans during the season opener at the Bell Centre, continues to show up for practices, even for simple morning skates, because he wants to follow Martin St-Louis’ instructions and continue progressing in his own way. We love it.
This is yet another great example of the strong culture that’s currently developing in the Habs’ locker room, and another proof of Laine’s great motivation.

See today’s footage.
Laine, who is heavily involved in the community, continues to show his excellent attitude, and we’re so happy to see him silence his critics.
Let’s remember that the Finnish forward will miss 2 to 3 months due to a serious knee injury sustained during the preseason games against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The good news is that he avoided surgery.
He seems to be doing very well, considering the circumstances, which is fantastic news.
It’s great to see him spending so much time with his teammates and staying involved with the team. Not all injured NHL players do that.
At 26 years old, Patrik Laine scored 9 points in 18 games last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and he has accumulated 388 points (204 goals) in 480 career games in the National Hockey League.
We really can’t wait to see him in uniform, and it’ll be fascinating to finally see what he can achieve in a system like Martin St-Louis’.
Do you think the Montreal Canadiens will still be in the playoff race by the time Patrik Laine is ready to return (around the holiday season)?
