South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer has his fair share of haters in the college football world, and right now, they have to be going crazy with the Gamecocks playing their best football of the year right now. The fourth-year head coach, for some reason, rubs people the wrong way, and he has chosen to instead embrace the type of coach he is and let the haters hate.
The best thing for Beamer right now is the fact that his team is one of the most feared in the country right now. South Carolina is currently on a five-game win streak and truly controls their fate of making it into the College Football Playoff right now.
Granted, the committee has to put them in, but a ranked win over Clemson this week and the chaos that ensued this past week set the Gamecocks up for something exciting in the coming weeks.
If there is one thing Beamer has proven in his time with South Carolina, it is that he knows how to win in November, and this season is truly no different. As mentioned earlier, Beamer and his squad are currently riding a five-game win streak, which just so happens to be the longest active win streak in the SEC right now, which much drives his haters nuts.
Since becoming the head coach at South Carolina, the Gamecocks have a 12-4 record in the month of November, which is when wins become crucial in college football. Beamer’s ability to get his team in the right mindset to get wins late in the season is the reason they even have any shot at the College Football Playoff right now.
The Gamecocks have a chance to extend their win streak to seven games this weekend as they head to Clemson to play in the Palmetto Bowl to see which team truly owns the state of South Carolina. It is going to be quite the battle for both teams, but with the way South Carolina is playing right now, no one wants to face them and they know it.
