Marcus Harris Commits to Oklahoma Over Georgia, Oregon
Boomer Sooner nation landed an unlikely win on the 2025 recruiting trail to start the week. Despite being an 80 percent projection by On3, Hayes Fawcett reported that Harris is committed to playing for Venables.

Harris noted that his relationship with the Oklahoma coaching staff pushed him to take their offer: “I would really say the coaching staff,” Harris said. “I feel like Coach Jones, Coach Venables and the rest of the staff had a plan for me. I really felt needed and wanted. Also when I stepped foot on campus it just felt like home.”

Harris is a member of the Mater Dei high school football team in Santa Ana, California, which is known for its strong football program. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 180 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 41 recruit in the country and the No. 5 player in California.
In the 2025 recruiting cycle, Harris is ranked as the sixth-best wide receiver. During his sophomore year, he scored 12 touchdowns and is looking forward to a successful junior season. Harris has received scholarship offers from various schools, including Pittsburgh, Texas, and Utah.
The four-star recruit has visited Oklahoma and Texas. His top choices for schools include Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Penn State, Oregon, Washington, Texas A&M, Florida, Ole Miss, Miami, and Auburn.
