Oklahoma Sooners will have a big weekend on their hands in Norman coming in the next week

He may be only a four-star recruit, but the Oklahoma Sooners have one of the best 2026 quarterbacks in the class when it comes to throwing ability and skill.

Jaden O’Neal, a highly-touted 4-star quarterback from Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California, has emerged as a key prospect for the 2026 recruiting class. Standing at 6’2″ and weighing 208 pounds, his talent has earned him offers from over 30 prestigious college football teams, including Ohio State, Miami, Florida State, and Oklahoma. In June 2024, O’Neal committed to the University of Oklahoma.

O’Neal’s sophomore year was marked by impressive stats, throwing for 2,475 yards and 27 touchdowns. His participation in high-profile camps such as the Elite 11 Regional and Under Armour Next Camp has further solidified his reputation. His junior season ended on a high note with an exceptional performance in the CIF City Section Championship Game, where he threw for 400 yards and accounted for seven total touchdowns in just three quarters.

But, sometimes, despite star ratings or rankings, you just know when a kid has it. And they think O’Neal has it. It’s similar to how they felt about Jett Niu, who is a three-star quarterback that they think can outplay and perform that rating, given the shot.

O’Neal has it, you can see it when he makes throws inside the pocket, and you can see how calm he is. He is a guy the Sooners have to have, and they want to make sure he stays committed. So, why not bring one of their few 2026 commits on for another visit?

They will be doing that this weekend in Norman.
