Proposed Celtics trade would land solid bench forward for three-years, $6.5 million
The Boston Celtics have been looking around the trade scene for a while now, but their options are limited due to being in the second apron of the luxury tax. However, ESPN’s Bobby Marks had a trade proposal for the Celtics that could boost their bench’s depth and scoring, all while lowering their payroll.
Camara has done pretty well with the Blazers this season, averaging 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, and a steal per game, while averaging 35% from three.
This trade works for both sides. The Blazers get two picks to increase their draft capital, which they desperately need to try and rebuild as quickly as they can. The Celtics get a forward who can play the wing, score and defend well.
This trade also works for the Celtic’s insane payroll. Springer was making $4 million per year, while Camara only makes around half of that per year for three years.
Hopefully the C’s consider this trade, as it is probably the best one they could do without trading any of their stars.
