Kansas State football officially has their 2025 schedule with some exciting matchups

After a lot of hype heading into the 2024 season, it didn’t end the way the Wildcats wanted, but they have a chance to make waves in the 2025 season with their newest schedule.

Kansas State football had very high expectations in 2024 as they were predicted to finish second in the Big 12 and have a chance at making the College Football Playoff. There was a lot of hype around young quarterback Avery Johnson and what he would do in his first year as a full-time starter. While Johnson had good numbers, when he struggled in games, he wasn’t able to get the Wildcats back on track.

While Kansas State still had a solid season, finishing with a 9-4 record and a win in the Rate Bowl against Rutgers, the Wildcats definitely could have performed better from time to time.

In 2025, head coach Chris Klieman has been working diligently to fill the holes left by the transfer portal and the NFL Draft. Now it will all come down to playing in 2025 and now that Kansas State has their 2025 schedule, a game plan can come together.

Here is the 2025 Kansas State football schedule:

  • Week 0: vs. Iowa State (Ireland game) 8/23
  • Week 1: vs. North Dakota 8/30
  • Week 2: vs. Army 9/6
  • Week 3: at Arizona 9/13
  • Week 4: BYE Week
  • Week 5: vs. UCF 9/27
  • Week 6: at Baylor 10/4
  • Week 7: vs. TCU 10/11
  • Week 8: BYE Week
  • Week 9: at Kansas (Sunflower Showdown) 10/25
  • Week 10: vs. Texas Tech 11/1
  • Week 11: BYE Week
  • Week 12: at Oklahoma State 11/15
  • Week 13: at Utah 11/22
  • Week 14: Colorado (Senior Night) 11/29

Kansas State will kick off the season in an exciting way all the way in Ireland as they will play Farmageddon in Dublin. K-State and Iowa State will face off in Week 0, giving Wildcat fans football earlier than normal.

The non-conference schedule will kick off against North Dakota, followed by Army, which will be two tough opponents and not anyone Kansas State should overlook. The Wildcats will take on Arizona as the final game in a home-and-home series that was signed before Arizona joined the Big 12 so it doesn’t count as a conference game.

Big 12 play will start against UCF just like it did two years ago in Manhattan. After that, Kansas State will play a couple of Texas teams in a row, followed by the Sunflower Showdown. The Wildcats will also take on Utah for the first time in program history late in the season and finish off 2025 against Colorado, hopefully setting themselves up for an appearance in the Big 12 Championship.
