Heat Take Final Shot at Jimmy Butler After Trade to Warriors

The Miami Heat took one last parting shot at Jimmy Butler after an extended public beef, which resulted in the six-time all-star being traded to the Golden State Warriors.

Butler first requested a trade in early January. The Heat suspended him multiple times for conduct detrimental to the team. Miami finally agreed to a deal to move Butler ahead of the trade deadline.

Miami got back Kyle Anderson, Davion Mitchell, Andrew Wiggins and a protected first-round pick in the deal. The Heat welcomed their new players in a graphic on social media and many fans noticed something familiar.

It appears that Wiggins will wear Butler’s No. 22 with the Heat. Many saw it as a sign of disrespect, seeing as Butler made his mark with Miami over six seasons.

“Lmao Miami has no respect for Jimmy. Bro brought the team to Finals twice. That jersey should be retired if I’m being honest,” one fan said.

“Throwing the same shade Jimmy threw at them. I love it,” another said.
