Jalen Hurts indirectly sends epic message with new commercial released just minutes after Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory
Jalen Hurts has faced a lot of critics in his career despite enjoying tremendous success.
He silenced them on Sunday with an historic Super Bowl MVP performance as the Philadelphia Eagles got revenge on the Kansas City Chiefs with an emphatic 40-22 victory in Super Bowl 59.
And Hurts wasted no time in sending a message to those who have doubted him after inspiring the Eagles to a second Super Bowl title in franchise history.
Just minutes after the confetti had started to fall on the Eagles in the Superdome, Jordan aired a commercial on the Fox Sports broadcast that took several not so subtle shots at Hurts’ critics.
Hurts’ ability to throw the ball downfield was questioned at various points during the 2024 season. The commercial took aim at those who doubted his ability in that regard, along with those who disapprove of the ‘tush push’, which has been the source of so many of his rushing touchdowns in his career and provided the Eagles’ first score of the game.
A performance that saw Hurts break his own record for rushing yards in a Super Bowl by a quarterback and write several more chapters in the history books served as a devastatingly brilliant way for him to shut down the critics for a long time.
With the release of the commercial, Hurts immediately kicked his victory lap up another gear.
He’ll have the chance to enjoy for several weeks before Hurts and the Eagles even think about starting their on-field preparations for a bid to go back-to-back in 2025, and it will likely be some time before anybody dares doubt his status as one of the best in the game again.
