She shoots, she scores. Victoria Beckham is the latest Beckham to land a Netflix deal following the height of her working life as a fashion maven, brand owner and of course, Posh Spice. After the uproarious success of the Beckhams docuseries which netted over 12 million viewers, (who could ever forget “My dad drove a Rolls-Royce in the 80s”? Certainly not I), the British fashion designer is the latest of the Beckham brood to talk shop in front of a mic and cam. After all, there’s plenty of material to pull from.
Beckham boasts an extensive career in beauty and fashion. After she waylaid singing to the side, Beckham started small: launching her brand with only 10 dresses to sell. Her diminutive start has since skyrocketed: the namesake label is carried in 230 stores in 50 countries worldwide, with dedicated personalised spaces in key department stores.
Who will produce the show?
Netflix has acquired the rights to air the show, as announced on Wednesday by the American streaming company. Nicola Howson, who masterminded Beckham, 99, Save Our Squad and Ronnie O’Sullivan: The Edge of Everything, will be an executive producer on the project working with Julia Nottingham, the BAFTA-nominated film producer famed for Pamela: A Love Story and The Greatest Night in Pop.
When is the release date of the docuseries?
There has been no word yet of any release or production dates, from what we’ve scoured. But fear not: the second we get word of movement online, we’ll be the first to let you know.
