BREAKING: 5-star OT provides unfortunate recruiting update

Georgia football has made one thing clear so far this recruiting cycle, they want to land a big fish at offensive tackle. That is why one recruit they have been aggressively targeting is five-star Immanuel Iheanacho.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Iheanacho is the No. 3 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 offensive tackle and the top ranked player from his home state of Maryland.
Things were looking good for Georgia in this recruitment as Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs were one of the few schools who Iheanacho originally scheduled an official visit with. UGA never looked like the frontrunner in this recruitment, but they still had a chance which is always a good thing.
However, a recent update from Iheanacho shows that Georgia is unfortuantely no longer in the running for his services.
Five-Star OT, Immanuel Iheanacho has named a Top-2.

5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho is out on Georgia
According to the above post from Brooks Austin, Iheanacho unfortuantely named Oregon and Maryland as his two finalists. As mentioned, Georgia was one of a few teams expecting an official visit from Iheanacho later this summer, but that no longer appears to be taking place.
This is the second five-star offensive tackle to exclude Georgia from their list of finalists as Felix Ojo gave the Bulldogs the same fate just last week.
The good news for Georgia is that they are still after another five-star tackle in Jackson Cantwell, who is the No. 1 overall player in the country. It would be nice to have more options still available, but it appears Georgia will have to go all in on Cantwell if they want to land a big fish at the position.
Cantwell will take an official visit to Georgia along with Miami (FL), Missouri, Michigan and Oregon later this summer. This clearly will be a tough recruitment to win, but it’s feeling like one Georgia must win for the future of the program.
