Arkansas basketball heads to high-flying Vanderbilt in need of good performance
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — This town has entertainment everywhere you look.
There is vibrant nightlife on Broadway, the Nashville SC of MLS and the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, and the famous musical scene.
Things to do, people to see, places to go — Nashville has it all.
And despite the crowded entertainment market, coach Mark Byington has made Vanderbilt men’s basketball a go-to destination in the Music City, leading one of the most high-profile turnarounds in the sport.
Arkansas visits Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday in need of bouncing back against one of the SEC’s hottest teams. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m.
“I’m going to need extra coffee,” Byington said.
The Razorbacks (17-12, 6-10 SEC) suffered a major blow to their NCAA Tournament bubbles hopes with a 72-53 loss at SEC last-place South Carolina last Saturday.
