Lamont Butler set to play in Kentucky’s first NCAA Tournament game, per report
Huge news for the Cats.
We have another report of the Kentucky Wildcats getting Lamont Butler back for the NCAA Tournament.
The latest comes from CBS reporter Jon Rothstein, who says Butler will be available for Kentucky’s opening game in the Big Dance.
Butler is recovering from an injury that he suffered in Thursday’s win over the Oklahoma Sooners. Mark Pope has since revealed that it’s a new injury and that Butler was expected to be available for the NCAA Tournament.
When that injury happened, it appeared to be a re-aggravation of Butler’s previous shoulder injury, which had him in and out of the lineup for over a month. It’s still unclear as to what exactly this new injury is, but for now, it doesn’t appear to be something that will sideline him in Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament opener.
Safe to say this is massive news!
