Michigan’s Roddy Gayle Jr., Will Tschetter Don’t Heistate When Asked About a Return Next Season
The Michigan Wolverines’ loss to the Auburn Tigers raised questions about the officiating from former Michigan players while raising questions about the future of the team’s roster after an exciting run that included a Big Ten Tournament title and Sweet 16 trip.
Following the game two of Michigan’s rotational players, Will Tschetter and Roddy Gayle Jr., were asked about whether or not they expect to be back in Maize and Blue uniforms next season.
The former Ohio State transfer and Juwan Howard recruit both did not hesitate to give their response in comments made following Michigan’s 78-65 Sweet 16 loss.
“Will Tschetter and Roddy Gayle Jr. say they both ‘absolutely’ expect to be back at Michigan next season,” Wolverines reporter Chris Balas said.
Gayle Jr. was Michigan’s late game hero vs. Texas A&M while Tschetter’s solid three-point shooting and hustle plays made a difference for Michigan off the bench all season.
“I like it,” one fan said. “Gayle off season can out in some work and Tschetter is a total floor general.
“Throw the bag at Danny (Wolf) to stay home. (LJ) Cason and (incoming freshman Trey McKenney) is going to be deadly!”
“Nice! Run it back!!” another fan said.
“Makes my night better,” another said with a smiley face emoji, although several fans were not fully sold on the duo being the answer to Michigan getting back to the Final Four and winning a national championship.
