Jim Harbaugh makes an admission about former Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott that will have Ohio State fans smiling big time

Ezekiel Elliott has had a successful football career through college and the NFL. His new and final spot for this season is with the Los Angeles Chargers, as he signed with their practice squad after being let go by the Dallas Cowboys.

Elliott now gets to reunite with former Ohio State teammate Joey Bosa, who he won a National Championship with back in 2014. Fellow Buckeye J.K. Dobbins is the starting running back for the Chargers, so there is a fair share of Columbus alum on the current Chargers team.

Of course, former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is now the head coach of the Chargers. Harbaugh recently made quite the admission about Elliott after he signed with Los Angeles.

“Yeah, like most people who watch football, very familiar.,” Harbaugh said of Elliott. “And personally, I’ve got some bruises from days competing against Zeke. It’s great to see him, he’s here and we’ll start having at it today.”

Back in 2015, the Buckeyes blasted Michigan 42-13 in Harbaugh’s first season with the program. In that game, Elliott ran wild for over 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Of course, that was a decade ago, and a lot of football miles have been put on Elliott since then.

This season, Elliott has run the ball for 226 yards and a career-low mark of 3.1 yards per carry. The former Buckeye has three touchdowns out of his 74 carries in 15 games played.

Elliott has rumbled for 9,130 yards in the NFL and has 74 touchdowns on his resume. The former Ohio State star has been in the NFL for nine seasons now, which is a very strong career for a running back.

Los Angeles takes on former Ohio State star C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans on Saturday in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs. It is unclear if Elliott will be called up from the practice squad for that game. If he is, Elliott could be used in short-yardage situations as a No. 3 running back.
