BYU Football Adds Four-Star In-State LB
On Monday, Kalani Sitake and the BYU Cougars added a new player in the Class of 2025 with a four-star local talent.
Despite being a late addition in his class, four-star linebacker Nusi Taumoepeau is an incredibly exciting commitment for the Cougars.
Coming out of Westlake High School in the Class of 2025, Taumoepeau is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 224th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 19th-ranked player at his position and the third-ranked player in the state of Utah.
“Blessed to have so much love and support during this time and always,” Taumoepeau said on X. “Thank you and love you all! Home is where God says it is. When he says move, you MOVE! All Glory to Him!”
With his commitment, the Utah native joins a class of 22 different talented prospects. Falling just behind four-star linebacker McKay Madsen, Taumoepeau checks in as BYU’s second-highest ranked prospect in the recruiting class. The unit checks in as the nation’s 55th-best group.
