The Boston Bruins are set to make a splash during the 2024 free-agency, as Don Sweeney has the cash to play with this summer.
The process of separation, trades, and players testing their value on the market will begin on July 1st.
One of those who didn’t return during the 2023-2024 season was Milan Lucic who had the DV charges dropped. But after the incident was handled in court, in April, 2024 his wife filed for divorce.

The 2011 Stanley Cup champion with the Boston Bruins, was married to Brittany since July 19th, 2012.
It appears, his situation hasn’t changed as he remained on leave after the season.
All the while, Don Sweeney will not be offering Lucic a new contract for the 2024-2025 NHL regular season.
So while Lucic, is a fan favorite in Boston, it appears his time here is over.
Should Lucic want to play in the NHL next season, he may have to dig around with his agent to find another team that needs a 4th liner.
His last salary was $1.5 Million, which included a NMC for the 2023-2024 season.
Lucic would finish his career in Boston, playing only 4 games, with 2 points, and a plus/minus of -1.
