Victoria Beckham has worn many different engagement rings since David popped the question with a £65,000 diamond and they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony 25 years ago
Victoria has been married to David Beckham for 25 years – and she has more than a dozen engagement rings to show for it.
There’s no such thing as one traditional engagement ring for the Beckhams as Posh has a vast collection of sparklers thought to be worth in the region of £9million. But David apparently hasn’t footed the bill for each and every one, with a friend of the ex-footballer once revealing: “He doesn’t buy Victoria a ring every few years, but he’s treated her to some of them.”
Becks popped the question to Victoria in 1998 in a hotel straight after a Manchester United game, when they were in their bath roles and ordering dinner and champagne to the room. But neither of them were nervous, as they’d planned the proposal in advance. As the couple celebrate 25 years of marriage today, we take a look back at Victoria’s incredible jewellery collection…
When David first popped the question he proposed with a relatively humble £65,000 three-carat marquise-cut diamond on a yellow gold band. But since then, VB’s engagement rings have been updated almost as often as her wardrobe.
To celebrate her marriage and the birth of their son Brooklyn, as soon as the vows were exchanged, Posh whipped off her engagement ring and replaced it with a single platinum set eternity band. Featuring a bevelled edge and white diamonds, the newlywed wore her swag with pride for 18 months.

Christmas came early in 2003 when Victoria’s ring bling got a serious upgrade and was replaced by an emerald-cut diamond with side baguettes, set in platinum. It was thought to be worth an eye-watering £1.2million – perfect for a couple at their WAG-era best.

When Victoria turned 30 in 2004, David treated her to a dazzling pink champagne diamond ring in a halo setting worth a reported £800,000. It hadn’t been a great year for the couple, who were forced to deny claims David had an affair with his personal assistant Rebecca Loos.

The pink diamond didn’t stay around for long and less than 12 months later, it made way for one of the biggest sparklers in Victoria’s collection. Around the time third son Cruz arrived, she received a pear-cut 17-carat diamond sat on a diamond pave band said to be worth £2million.
Then it was out with the old and in with the new in 2006 when a yellow emerald-cut diamond appeared on Posh’s finger. The gigantic rock sat in a yellow-gold pave band and was bolstered by two huge eternity rings – quite fitting for the dazzling display she and the rest of the World Cup WAGs put on at Baden Baden.

The following year VB did away with the dazzling diamonds and instead opted for a £700,000 cushion-cut emerald the size of a duck’s egg on a spiral of diamonds. David reportedly surprised his wife with the sparkler after their move to the US.
Returning to her go-to look, Posh started wearing another emerald-cut diamond on a pave band in 2008 designed by Chopard and coming in at a staggering 17 carats and worth an estimated £2million.

As her fashion label began to take off in 2009, Victoria stepped out wearing a gorgeous oval-cut ruby-on-white diamond halo setting worth an estimated £800,000. By 2010, Posh was mixing with the glossy Los Angeles set and upped the glamour with a showy oval-cut sapphire on a platinum pave band.

After the 2011 birth of daughter Harper, the mother-of-four downgraded to a much smaller pink diamond sitting on a yellow pave band. In 2015 she emerged with a round-cut diamond set in a halo design with two round side stones. But the bling didn’t stick around and was only seen for a matter of months.

Walking the red carpet at Cannes in 2016, VB was all class with her square-cut diamond mounted on a platinum pave band. That same year she’d been honoured with an OBE for her charity work, UN support and fashion empire sparking speculation she wanted to mark the occasion with a little treat.
Then Victoria wore a £120,000 square-cut yellow diamond set on a platinum pave band to Paris Fashion Week, shortly after she and David were forced to deny rumours they were about to divorce. A spokesperson at the time branded the rumours “a crock of a s***”, “embarrassing” and “laughable”.
