One of South Florida’s premier defensive back recruits, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman three-star safety Max Redmon, will announce his college decision live on the 247Sports Youtube Channel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9.
Redmon will pick between three finalists: South Florida, Illinois and Florida State.
Each of those programs hosted the 6-foot, 185-pounder on an official visit during the month of July. The Seminoles were up first, hosting him on campus from June 7-9.
“It was amazing man. It was great vibes around. The people were great to me. It was good,” Redmon said of his official visit to Tallahassee.
He then tripped to Illinois from June 14-16 before heading to the University of South Florida from June 21-23.
The Palm Beach County native is a three-sport star, playing track and field, basketball and football.
On the gridiron last season, Redmon posted 64 tackles, 10 TFLs, 3 sacks and 2 INT. As a junior in basketball, in 19 games, he averaged 10.1 points per game along with 2.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals a game. He ran an 11.30 (0.6) in the 100-meter dash in April of 2023.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball for Redmon reads Garnet and Gold with the Seminoles holding both predictions logged in their favor.
