The Tennessee Vols will soon learn if they’re among the top schools for an elite 2026 five-star recruit.
2026 five-star tight end Kendre Harrison is one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the nation.
Harrison, 6-foot-7/243 lbs from Reidsville, NC, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 tight end in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina. He’s also rated as the No. 6 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
According to 247Sports’ Anna Adams, Harrison plans to reveal his top six schools on July 15.
Harrison told 247Sports that Miami, North Carolina, and Penn State will be in his top six. The other three spots are up for grabs.
The North Carolina native took an unofficial visit to Tennessee in March. He was also in Knoxville last fall for the Vols’ game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
Harrison wants to play both basketball and football at the next level (he’s also a highly rated basketball player who went viral earlier this year for shattering a backboard). UNC has already offered in both sports. The Vols will likely need to as well to stand any chance of winning this recruiting battle.
Tennessee doesn’t currently have any players committed to its 2026 recruiting class.
