Recruits react to their time in Athens at Georgia’s 2nd Junior Day

It sounds like this was yet another successful recruiting event.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 3 the college football world is entering a recruiting dead period where no recruits will be able to visit schools for about a month. While recruiting dead periods are never fun, it is clearly important for Georgia football to do as much as they can during the time when they are allowed to host recruits.

And that is exactly what Kirby Smart and his staff are doing.

Georgia already hosted one Junior Day earlier in January, but Smart and his staff decided to put on one more Junior Day before they aren’t allowed to host recruits on campus for the next month. This final Junior Day took place on Feb. 1 and by all accounts it was a very successful event, just like the first Junior Day.

And while it is nice to hear from recruiting experts on how this event went, it’s more fun to hear from the recruits directly. And thankfully many of them took to social media to share how much they loved their time in Athens.

Recruit Reactions to Junior Day

In the coming days we will learn just how great these visits went. There is always the chance Georgia could earn a commitment or two, but even if that doesn’t happen there is no need to panic. But the thing Georgia needs to hear coming off these visits is that they improved their standing with many of the recruits who were in Athens.

The best scenario (outside of a commitment) is for Georgia to receive some official predictions to land a few of these recruits. That is exactly what happened after the first Junior Day in mid-January, so hopefully Smart and his staff had just as good of an event this time around and received the same great news.

And by the looks of these social media posts, that might have been exactly what happened.
