Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program scored a major recruiting victory Saturday when four-star defensive end Bryce Davis committed to the Tigers.

Davis (Grimsley High School, Greensboro, N.C.) chose Clemson over Georgia, Duke and South Carolina . He is rated the No. 3 overall player in the state of North Carolina and the No. 9 defensive end in the nation in the class of 2025 by both 247Sports and On3.

Listed as 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Davis had been a high-end target for Clemson since receiving an offer in June. He joins an already impressive list of defensive line recruits that include Isaiah Campbell (Southern High School, Durham, N.C.), Ari Watford (Maury High School, Norfolk, Va.) and Amare Adams (South Florence High School, S.C.).

Davis’ commitment brings Clemson’s 2025 class to 14 members. The Tigers’ class is currently ranked in the Top 10 nationally by both On3 and 247Sports. On3 ranks Clemson’s class No. 6 nationally while 247Sports ranks the Tigers’ class at No. 9.

Here’s how social media reacted to the news of Davis’ commitment.
