Sheffield Wednesday look set to be active in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
The summer transfer window officially closes on August 30th.
Sheffield Wednesday have already signed nine new players this summer, but the Owls’ transfer business has slowed down slightly.
Since the last signing of Nathaniel Chalobah in July, Danny Rohl has been working with his new-look side and gearing them up for the 2024/25 Championship season.
Ahead of the opening game against Plymouth Argyle next week though, Sheffield Wednesday look to have reignited their transfer plans.

Recent report have revealed that there’s multiple EFL teams interested in signing Cadamarteri on loan this summer, following his first-team breakthrough in S6 last time round.
Rotherham United boss responds to Michael Smith speculation
There’s social media speculation that Rotherham United have an interest Michael Smith.
Former Millers man Smith played a bit part role for Sheffield Wednesday last time round, featuring 31 times in the Championship, mainly as a substitute, scoring four goals.
But Millers boss Steve Evans has played down interest in Smith this summer, saying: “I love ‘Smudge’.
“He was brilliant for Rotherham United, a handful against my teams when he played against them.
“But we’ve had the best League One signing of the whole transfer window in Jonson [Clarke-Harris].
“Would I love Smudge in the squad? Yeah. But we’ve a good balance.”
Sheffield Wednesday target Sory Kaba has bid accepted
Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with Sory Kaba at Las Palmas this summer.
The former Cardiff City loan man looks set to leave Las Palmas after just one season, with the Championship tipped to be his likeliest destination.
Recently, it’s been revealed that an unnamed British club has had a £1.3million bid accepted for the striker, with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United, and West Brom among the teams linked.
Sheffield Wednesday receive loan enquiry for Pierce Charles
Another Sheffield Wednesday youngster looking likely to leave on loan this summer is Pierce Charles.
The 19-year-old impressed with the Northern Ireland U19s at the U19s Euros this summer, after making his first-team debut for the Owls last time round.
Crawley have enquired about Charles following their promotion from League Two last season.
Rohl though is hesitant to send Charles out on loan right now, following the recent injury to Ben Hamer.
Sheffield Wednesday facing Ike Ugbo competition
Perhaps the key transfer target for Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday this summer is Ike Ugbo.
Sheffield Wednesday are desperate to re-sign Ugbo on a permanent deal from Troyes but have been facing difficulties in the pursuit all summer.
The latest on this front is that Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a fee for Ugbo, thought to be £2.5million, but that Troyes are unhappy with the structure of the deal.
Sunderland have now emerged as strong contenders to sign the Canadian but Sheffield Wednesday remain hopeful of signing Ugbo this month.
