An update has emerged on Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of Ramon Sosa.
Nottingham Forest have added six new signings to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad and appear to be in the market for further reinforcements.
Having completed the signing of Jota Silva from Vitoria Guimaraes, Forest are keen to bring in another winger and CA Talleres’ Ramon Sosa has been a player heavily linked to the City Ground.
Now, a fresh update has just emerged on Sosa.
Several Premier League clubs looking at Ramon Sosa
Nottingham Forest are evidently keen on signing Sosa this summer, though, it appears their interest isn’t as advanced as some reports suggest, according to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas.
“Nottingham Forest are interested in Paraguay winger Ramon Sosa,” said Thomas.
“He has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs.”
The journalist didn’t provide any further information about Forest’s pursuit of Sosa, suggesting that perhaps the deal isn’t almost complete – as some have claimed.
Ramon Sosa statistics
If Forest do land Sosa’s signature this summer, it’d be a really promising addition.
The 24-year-old, who plies his trade in Argentina’s top flight, has netted seven times whilst laying on six assists so far this term – with the season due to end in December.
Chelsea and Newcastle are believed to be among the clubs keeping tabs on him, so evidently he’s a player other Premier League clubs hold in high regard.
Sosa is expected to cost suitors around £12m, so there’d be no pressure to immediately hit the ground running, especially given the options Forest now have in wide areas.
