Derby County have bolstered their goalkeeping roster by signing 22-year-old Rohan Luthra on a one-year contract for the 2024/25 season.
Luthra, who previously played for Crystal Palace and Cardiff City, joined the Rams after impressing during their pre-season training camp in Spain.
Having participated in a friendly win over Stockport County, Luthra continued training with the squad at Moor Farm under Goalkeeping Coach Andy Warrington.
He remained involved in Derby’s pre-season preparations and is set to fill the role vacated by Scott Loach, who retired this summer and transitioned to a coaching role in the club’s Academy.
Luthra’s career began at Crystal Palace, where he progressed through the Academy and earned his first professional contract in 2020. He gained senior experience on loan at South Park FC before moving to Cardiff City in 2021. During his three years with the Bluebirds, Luthra made his senior debut in March 2023 as a substitute against Preston North End.
The young goalkeeper also had a loan stint at Slough Town in the 2023/24 season, where he made 12 league appearances and participated in their FA Cup run.
