Two Toronto Maple Leaf forwards will captain teams at the third annual ‘Hockey Night in Brampton’ event later this month along with former and current NHLers.
Max Domi has been putting in a ton of work this off-season since signing a 4-year extension with the Leafs right before he was scheduled to become a free agent. Domi has consistently been posting his workouts on social media and looks primed and ready to have a breakout season in the blue and white.
Taking a break from his training, Domi will be one of the captains for the third annual ‘Hockey Night in Brampton’ charity event on August 21st. His teammate, Mitch Marner, who has been taking a ton of flack online this summer after another lackluster playoff performance, will be captaining the opposition in the event that benefits the Osler Foundation.
Domi and Marner will be joined by Leafs alumni Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmour as coaches and Darryl Sittler will drop the ceremonial puck. Other former and current NHLers participating include Chris Pronger, Chris Chelios, Cody Hodgson, Dylan Strome, Erik Gudbranson, Cole Perfetti, Liam Foudy and Jack McBain, as well as Women’s Canadian National team stars Tessa Bonhomme and Renata Fast.
