John Calipari believes Arkansas can write its own story before Selection Sunday
John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks are firmly on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament, and things aren’t looking great after their latest game.
It was a 67-60 loss to No. 1 Auburn. That, in itself, wasn’t unexpected. The problem for the Razorbacks, though, is that the loss dropped them to 15-11 and 4-9 in SEC play.
There are five games left in Arkansas’ regular season, with two of them coming against ranked teams. Missouri, which just beat No. 4 Alabama, is up next.
Calipari doesn’t seem worried about Selection Sunday just yet, though, because he does believe his Razorbacks still have a chance.
“I want to write our own story. I want us to write it. We have a chance. It is all in our hands,” Calipari said after the Auburn loss, according to Sam Gillenwater of On3.
What Calipari is banking on is that his team can get some quality wins, and beating Missouri would be that. Whatever happens, Coach Cal needs his team to get locked in for this final stretch.
“Every game we play is an NCAA Tournament game now,” Calipari explained.
