Crystal Palace are interested in signing the Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The 23-year-old left-back has been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe and it will be interesting to see if Wolves are prepared to sanction his departure this summer.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, the defender is valued at £30 million and it will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace are willing to shell out that kind of money for him. The Eagles certainly have the funds to buy him, especially after the departure of Michael Olise.
The Eagles showed great improvement under Oliver Glasner last season and they will look to build on that and finish high up the table this time around.
Signing a quality left-back could prove to be a wise decision. The 23-year-old has proven himself to be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and he has the quality to compete at the highest level. Apart from his defensive qualities, he will help out in the attack as well.
The defender is likely to improve with coaching and experience in the coming seasons and regular football at Crystal Palace will help him develop further. It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the defender. The reported £30 million asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality and potential in today’s market. Rayan Ait-Nouri could easily justify the investment in the coming seasons.
Meanwhile, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City have been linked with the player as well. It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him before the window closes. The 23-year-old will certainly be tempted to join a top club this summer and Crystal Palace will have to work hard to convince him.
