Texas A&M third baseman Gavin Grahovac gets bad news, how long will he be out?

A massive blow to the No. 2 team in the country. The Texas A&M Aggies will be without one of their top players for the rest of the season. Ryan Brauninger of TexAgs reported the news that third baseman Gavin Grahovac is done for 2025.

Grahovac was one of the top players last season en route to a national runner-up finish to the Tennessee Vols in the College World Series. He was expected to be one of the top guys again this year for the Aggies. The injury was initially referred to as shoulder tightness by head baseball coach Michael Earley.

According to the report, Grahovac will need shoulder surgery and it will sideline him just two weeks into the 2025 college baseball season. Through six games this season, the third baseman had accumulated 26 plate appearances with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. The team is deep but his production will be missed. Grahovac set Texas A&M freshman records with 23 HRs and 66 RBIs in 2024.

Currently, the Aggies are ranked No. 2 with a 5-1 record. They were just one of the four SEC teams at the top of the updated college baseball coaches poll released on Monday.
