If you thought Steph Curry was going to leave the Golden State Warriors anytime soon, you may want to reconsider changing your stance on that matter.
Curry captivated the basketball world this summer, leading Team USA to a gold medal in the Olympics. He hit a plethora of ridiculous 3-pointers against France in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
Some fans thought Curry’s incredible run with Team USA would make him consider leaving the Warriors. Clearly, he never gave it much thought.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported just moments ago that Curry has agreed to a one-year, $62.6 million extension with the Warriors.
“Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has agreed on a one-year, $62.6 million extension that’ll keep him under contract through the 2026-2027 season, his agent Jeff Austin of Octagon tells ESPN,” Wojnarowski wrote.

Curry is still playing at an elite level for the Warriors. Last season, he averaged 26.4 points and 5.1 assists per game while knocking down 40.8 percent of his attempts from downtown.
As of right now, the Warriors seem to be on the outside looking in when it comes to being a true title contender. They did make some savvy moves in free agency though, acquiring Kyle Anderson and Buddy Hield.
Will the Warriors find a way to win one more title in the Steph Curry era? Only time will tell.
