West Brom forward Jed Wallace has responded to claims he should make a return to Millwall.
The 30-year-old enjoyed two loan spells at The Den in 2016 and 2017 before completing a permanent move from Wolves and spent five years in London before joining the Baggies in the summer of 2022.
Wallace responded to the comment on the Millwall X account [1 September] and reaffirmed his loyalty to West Brom.
He said: “Very happy and settled at WBA mate. Wish you guys all the best for the season though as always.”
Jed Wallace is set for an important campaign with West Brom
Wallace may find himself somewhat on the fringes of the West Brom side but he can still play a vital role for Carlos Corberan this season.
The Englishman was linked with a move away from the Hawthorns this summer with former club Portsmouth and Luton Town interested in his signature however the wise decision was made for the winger to continue his football in the Midlands [DOOD].
He has yet to start for the Baggies this season and will find himself further down the pecking order behind Tom Fellows after the deadline day signing of former loanee Mikey Johnston.
However, his presence in the dressing room and ability to impact the pitch at any stage of the match will prove invaluable come to the end of the season if West Brom realise their Premier League promotion aspirations.
Corberan has enjoyed a strong start to the 2024/25 Championship campaign and, his side currently sits second behind Sunderland in the table after three wins and one draw from their opening four fixtures.
The Baggies will undoubtedly suffer highs and lows in a gruelling season in the second tier and Wallace will be relied on throughout the schedule to make an impact when called upon and use his experience to lead his side this year.
