Ohio State’s Will Howard set to star in debut of new Jon Gruden QB breakdown show on Barstool Sports
Ohio State quarterback Will Howard took some lumps at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine as he struggled through on-field drills, but he’s hoping to regain some momentum with an off-field venture.
Former Las Vegas and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden is rebooting his infamous QB Camp show with Barstool Sports, and Howard is his debut guest. His new show will be called “Gruden’s QB Class,” and he’s hoping to get all of the top passers in the 2025 NFL Draft class on board.
Howard, a projected early Day 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is coming off a historic National Championship-winning season with the Buckeyes.
Gruden started his coaching career in college football before making his way to the professional ranks as an assistant coach. His first significant role came in 1998, when he became the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
With his guidance, the Raiders emerged as an excellent team, advancing to the AFC Championship Game during the 2000 season.
In 2002, Gruden was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he quickly made a significant impact. That same year, he led the Buccaneers to victory in Super Bowl XXXVII, defeating his old team, the Raiders.
At just 39 years old, Gruden became the youngest head coach to capture a Super Bowl championship then. He remained with Tampa Bay until 2008, after which he shifted to broadcasting, working as an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
Jon Gruden’s QB Camp was a widely acclaimed segment on ESPN where he evaluated top quarterback prospects for the NFL Draft. Fans were drawn to Gruden’s energetic and engaging coaching style, his extensive football knowledge, and his skill in dissecting the mental components of playing quarterback.
The sessions included film analysis, on-field exercises, and open discussions, offering viewers a unique insight into how quarterbacks think about the game. Gruden’s enthusiastic, sometimes comedic interactions with the players kept the show lively.
Many fans appreciated how he pushed young quarterbacks while providing valuable advice, making it a must-see for both football fans and aspiring players.
In 2018, Gruden returned to coaching with the Las Vegas Raiders, signing a landmark 10-year, $100 million deal. However, his second tenure with the team was overshadowed by controversy, culminating in his resignation in 2021 after leaked emails brought inappropriate and offensive language to light.
Now, Gruden is with Barstool Sports and creates content revolving around the NFL.
